Ensure the maintenance of the press and dryer machines and ensure it is in good running condition. | ||
Maintain and update the corrective and preventive actions for the process deviation and any foreseen problems. | ||
Correct any deviations / abnormality in the process and highlight the same to the In-charge. | ||
To check the availability of all types of powders, and follow the feeding and mixing plan. | ||
Ensure the calibration of weigh feeders. | ||
Ensure cleaning at silo feeding and press during colour change to avoid contamination problem. | ||
Press Operator | Coordinate and follow up with powder feeding concerning silo status and powder feeding sequences. | |
Ensure that hoppers, micronizers, bucket elevators and conveyors are properly cleaned during design changes. | ||
Perform the corrective and preventive actions for the process deviation and any foreseen problems. | ||
Coordinate with press mechanics during mould and punch changes or any press maintenance works. | ||
Press Mechanic | Responsible for press and dryer machine maintenance, moulds, preventive maintenance of machineries and related production responsibilities. | |
Perform preventive maintenance of the press and dryer machine. | ||
Check the availability of moulds, punches and other machine spares. | ||
Coordinate with Supervisor / Operators i.e. (double charge, salt and paper, etc.) | ||

Forklift Operator | Responsible for changing the moulds and dumping of green tiles scrap to the designated area. | |
Transfer the scrap tiles / powder in the dumping area as instructed by the In-Charge. | ||
To cooperate with press operators and powder feeding operators for the removal and transfer of scrap materials. | ||
Ensure proper maintenance of the forklift | ||

Powder Feeding Oper. | Check and follow the powder feeding schedule as per section supervisor. | |
Coordinate and follow up with press operator and spray dryer operator / supervisor regarding silo status and powder feeding sequences. | ||
Ensure that all the silo delivery points, bucket elevators, intermittent silos and conveyors are properly cleaned during shade change. | ||
Ensure flakes preparation according to chroma design requirements. | ||
Glaze Line | Glaze Controller | Keep and maintain sufficient quantity of glazes etc. during and at the end of the shifts to maintain line continuity. |
Coordinate with press department to utilize the press and horizontal dryer gaps for cleaning the application equipments and design changes. | ||
Check and follow the hourly sample and inform the Supervisor for any deviation. | ||
Ensure engobe and glazes are properly sieved. | ||
Printing Operator | Ensure the pastes are properly sieved. | |
Keep and maintain sufficient quantity of pastes, etc. towards the end of the shift to maintain line continuity. | ||
Coordinate with press dept to utilize the press and horizontal dryer gaps for cleaning and design changes. | ||
Coordinate with glaze preparation regarding supply of pastes and granules. | ||
Techno Ferrari Operator / Sample Operator | Send samples every one hour and update into the records. | |
Collect sample display in the Glaze and highlight the result to the Supervisor. | ||
Arrange bottom engobe in all lines and ensure bottom application. | ||
KILN | Kiln Supervisor | Responsible for supervising the operation of green tile firing and ensure all requirements are met as per production program. |
Check green tile availability ready for firing and give the written instruction to T.G.V operator and kiln loading operator. | ||
Monitor the kiln unloading palletizer machine for proper storage of fired tiles with proper identification. | ||
To maintain, update the logbook/records and to handover the shift activities properly to the reliever. | ||
Monitor the machine, ensure it is in good condition, and deliver the targeted production as per Porcellan specifications. | ||
Maintain and update the corrective and preventive actions for the process deviation and any foreseen problems. | ||
Check and record the quality output such as size, warpage, flatness etc., from kiln. | ||
Unloading Operator | To unload fired tiles, properly palletize the tiles on pallet with the help of sucker machine. Ensure to keep the pallets in the parking area with proper product identification. | |
Assist mechanics during the machine maintenance and adjustments of machine for size change. | ||
Work along with kiln controllers during roller change and in case of emergency. | ||
Observe the machine function and inform the kiln controllers/kiln in charge if machine requires any special attention or maintenance. | ||
Loading Operator | Ensure smooth operation of box unloading and kiln loading machine. | |
Assist mechanics during the machine maintenance and adjustments of machine for size change. | ||
Work along with Kiln Supervisors during roller change and in case of emergency. | ||
Frequently check bottom wash coat of green tile and inform glaze line supervisor/kiln controllers if any attention is required. | ||

Roller Grinding Oper. | Remove any material deposit that gets on the roller during kiln operation. | |

Work along with Kiln Supervisors during the roller change and in case of emergency. | ||
Put wash coat to the cleaned good rollers with the required density of engobe. | ||
Forklift Operator | Responsible for transferring rejected green tiles and fired materials in the designated area. | |
Transfer rejected green tiles from Kiln and Glaze section to the scrap yard. | ||
Transfer rejected fired tiles from Kiln and Polishing section to the scrap yard. | ||
Shift the roller trolleys from the roller grinding machine to the kiln area during roller changing. | ||
Polishing & Squaring | Supervisor | To supervise the operation of Polishing and Squaring Section and ensure all requirements are met as per production program. |
Plan the product to be squared / polished as per production program in coordination with production coordinator. | ||
Ensure the configurations of calibration and availability of polishing tools as per the requirements. | ||
Ensure the machines are working properly. Coordinate with Maintenance for any problems in the machineries. In case of pending job, record in the logbook for follow up by next shift supervisor. | ||

Check and maintain the output sizes every one hour as per specifications throughout the shift and make entries in the relevant records. | ||
Ensure fixing of the squaring wheel according to the grit series to get the required tile size and by setting equal loads on all squaring heads as per standard instruction of supervisor and value of current taken. | ||
Ensure working of current meters of all working heads. | ||
Techno Ferrari Operator | Check the polishing / squaring line model numbers. | |
Arrange the pallets for the production planning. | ||
Keep and maintain the Techno Ferrari machine in its good working condition. | ||
Inform the Shift supervisor for any problem in the TF machine. | ||
